Magical Day #WWYS 156

Welcome back to a mystical magic week at What Will You Stamp? We are highlighting the Magical Day stamp set, which is part of the Myths & Magic suite:

Myths & Magic Suite by Stampin' Up!
How adorable cute is this suite, and it it has it all! Stamp set with matching framelits (so no fussy cutting), gorgous DSP, washi tape and 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper!

I was in the mood for pink, and decided to create a watercolour background for my creation, I added a little Melon Mambo, Sweet Sugarplum and Powder Pink to a clear stamp block, sprayed water and laid onto watercolour paper and "smooched" a little.

Whilst it was drying I Silver embossed the unicorn image onto Shimmery White cardstock, then coloured with Watercolour Pencils and a Blender Pen, then die cut with the matching framelit. To finish I added Silver Bakers Twine and some Iridescent Sequins - love how these sequins look pink when the light hits them!

Ink it! Stamp It! Let's talk Bundles

Welcome to this month's Ink It! Stamp It! blog hog, and are you are in for a treat! We are show casing our favourite bundle from the Occasions Catalogue!

Picking a favourite is a big ask, I actually have more than one....... if you are into flowers Cake Soiree & Petal Palette are must haves (not to mention the the amazing other products avaialbe in these suites), then there is also Picnic with You, Let the Good Times Roll, and of course Magical Day, oh the agony of choice!

I decided to create with Magical Day for this months feature, I had been playing with Brusho on the weekend, and had the perfect background for the Dragon, here's what I created:

I used Stampin' Blends are fantastic for colouring the characters in this set, when hubby saw my finished card he said it reminded him of Pete's Dragon. Here's a couple of other cards featuring some of the characters in the set I have previously made:

Magical day with shimmery embossing paste

 Magical Day goes ombre

Isn't this bundle just so stinkin cute???? I still have 2 other characters to create with, I so need more time for crafting lol! I love how there is no fussy cutting for the characters, and there is also a banner framelit and other complimentary thinlets for the characters - so much fun in one bundle!

Magical Day Bundle - so awesome!

Thank you so much for joining us today, we hope you'll join us again next month to see our projects. Grab a bevvy and continue hopping around to see all the bundles on offer, I'm Sue Vine see the list below to see who is up next:

It's a Birthday Bash with Stampin Friends!

Hello and welcome to this month's Stampin Friends Birthday Bash Blog Hop. We have lots of ideas for you for cards and gift packaging, sit back, grab a cuppa and enjoy!

I've combined elements from the Annual Catalogue with touch of the Occasions catalogue for my projects today:

I love the die cuts in the Window Box Framelits set, the decorative candle thinlet is so cute, and not only that, when cut with Stitched Shapes Framelits they fit perfectly around the sides of the hexagonal box. And for something a bit different for the box, changed it up so it opens on the side instead of the top.

I decided to use a white background and use bright and happy colours, the Narrow Note Cards from the Occasions catalogue were the perfect size for the candles as well as the sentiment from Picnic with You. After layering strips of coloured card stock behind the die cut I popped the "candle element" on the card using dimensionals - simple but effective!

The gift box has 5 of the "candle elements", and the groovy raised banner is so easy to create with the special thinlet in the window box set - it cuts and pre-scores edge of the banner, so you can make it what ever size you need, so versatile!

Thanks for joining us today, be sure to work you way through the bloggers below, I'm sure you will be inspired - if you have time we would love if you leave a comment, we love receiving comments!

Colour Me with Stampin Dreams

Welcome to the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop, this month we are going to fill you with a world of colour! Our "Colouring Theme" hop will be filled with lots of colouring mediums -  Watercolour Pencils, Water colouring, Blends or Stampin' Write Markers to name a few.

I've always loved drawing, and dappled in Oil painting when I was in High School, but something that has always challenged me is Water colouring - but I have decided it's not going to get the better of me, and I have mixed stamping with Watercolour for my project today.

I've use the Jar of Love stamp set for this project - it is quite different to previous watercolour cards I have attempted before.

After stamping the jar, I created my foliage by stamping the image multiple times in Tranquil Tide before re-inking, moving it as I stamped to create dark to light images, then I have dabbed water to the stamped image to create the water colour effect.  I left some gaps for the flowers and repeated the process.
